Meg Rosoff presents Nordic Children's Fiction

Part of London Literature Festival

Hear from leading writers from the Nordic countries and the UK about current issues facing young people across Europe, and the importance of reading literature in translation. Three leading authors – Kim Fupz Aakeson, BR Collins and Meg Rosoff – read from their acclaimed work and discuss stories of contemporary odysseys and the real world they reflect.

Quest to the North is inspired by the new Aarhus39 anthologies, which showcase the best children's and Young Adult writers. This event is part of Southbank Centre’s Nordic Matters series and occurs ahead of the inaugural International Children's Literature Hay Festival, a pan-European celebration of writing for young people held in Denmark.

Kim Fupz Aakeson is a Danish writer and judge of the Aarhus39 selection. BR Collins is one of the selected Aarhus39 authors and Meg Rosoff is an acclaimed writer for young people. The talk is chaired by Daniel Hahn, editor of the Aarhus39 anthologies.

This event will be chaired by Daniel Hahn.
