How Mandarin Changed Me: Panel Discussion

Part of China Changing Festival

We’ve been working with a Yorkshire-based class of KS3 pupils from Archbishop Sentamu Academy in Kingston upon Hull, who alongside an artist animator, have produce a three-minute animation film exploring their experience of learning Chinese Mandarin within their school.

Join the animator, Mandarin teacher Liqun Dai and pupils from Archbishop Sentamu Academy as they discuss the experience and impact of learning Chinese and the subject and process of making the film.

For the second year, Southbank Centre and the IOE Confucius Institute work together to facilitate a digital education project linking secondary school pupils to China Changing.

Archbishop Sentamu Academy is one of 45 Confucius Classroom schools across England. These schools have Chinese firmly embedded within their curriculum and provide support to other schools in their region that want to start offering Chinese.
