Combining beautiful Nordic design with a bespoke artistic commission, the Finnish Rooftop Sauna is a striking collaboration with Aalto University (Helsinki) MA students: Pedro Pablo Garcia Alcazar, Markus Holste, Monica Romagnoli and Miki Sordi, and Finnish sculpture Jaakko Pernu.
Queen Elizabeth Hall Roof Garden Bar is also open to serve you Prosecco, warming winter drinks and snacks. Visit this oasis in central London as Southbank Centre goes Nordic.
Pre-order Nordic canapes to enjoy at the Rooftop Bar, including:
- House cured salmon, dark rye, pickled cucumber
- Venison carpaccio, lingonberry compote, toasted hazelnuts
- Baked golden beetroot, goats curd, pine nuts (v)

A sauna session last 70 minutes. This includes your time to change within the space.
The sauna is made up of mixed-gender sessions and swimming costumes must be worn at all times.
There are separate male and female shower and changing facilities within the sauna. The sauna is fully accessible.
Towels and secure lockers are provided as part of the ticket price. Secure lockers are able to accommodate small bags only. Please avoid bringing any larger items as these cannot be secured.
Please drink plenty of water during your visit. Southbank Centre cannot take responsibility for any adverse affects the sauna may have.
Eating food and drink is not recommended before the sauna experience. The Rooftop Bar is open and you can preorder canapes when booking your sauna session to enjoy after your sauna session.

Group bookings for 2018
The sauna can host up to 16 people per session. If you want to book out the sauna for your exclusive use (whether for a solo experience or a group up to 16 people), please email firstname.lastname@example.org and ask for further information.
The sauna is not suitable for pregnant women or those with any medical issues that may be affected by the sauna experience. If you are unsure, please consult your doctor before booking tickets.
The sauna is accessible and one wheelchair place is available per session.
