Members Event: The Mersey Sound at 50 - Curator talk & tour

Step into The Mersey Sound at 50 exhibition and discover the history behind the art, music and poetry, on this special tour with exhibition curator Catherine Marcangeli.

In 1967, The Mersey Sound brought poetry down from the shelf and onto the street, capturing the mood of the 1960s. A publishing phenomenon, it went on to become the bestselling poetry anthology of all time.

The tour retraces the emergence of Adrian Henri, Roger McGough and Brian Patten onto the 1960s poetry scene.

After the tours finish, we have music from the era playing in the Members Area – so join us for a drink or two.
