Delve into the impact and legacy of the October 1917 Russian Revolution in an afternoon of talks, films and live music.

Broadcaster, author and Voices of Revolution Series Advisor, Martin Sixsmith, leads the discussion with a panel of experts on Russian music and culture.

Other speakers include Pauline Fairclough, who specialises in Soviet musical culture and has published widely on Shostakovich and musical life under Stalinism; and Elizabeth Wilson, author of the prize-winning book Shostakovich: A Life Remembered.

There are also musical contributions from the Philharmonia MMSF Instrumental Fellows.
