How We Hear

Consider how sound shapes our relationship with one another and the wider world as we launch Magma 69, The Deaf Issue, a magazine that includes poems by d/Deaf poets exploring deafness, how we hear and what we are deaf to.

Following on from the launch, selected poets read their poems leading into a panel discussion with editors Lisa Kelly and Raymond Antrobus about BSL poetry, text, image and metaphor of d/Deaf poetics and the challenges of translation.

Join us for an evening of poetry where visual and oral aesthetics connect, clash and commune.
