Southbank Sinfonia Family Concert

Part of Classical Season 2018/19

Are you ready to explore more than 400 years of musical history in 45 minutes? Step into our time machine at an interactive family concert.

As we leap between centuries, see how the orchestra has grown, hear how its instruments have changed and share in the amazing imagination of some of the world’s greatest ever composers – from early pioneers, through the brilliance of Mozart and Beethoven, right up to the latest trends of today.

Southbank Sinfonia’s 33 young musicians are your guides, sharing their stories and tricks with the help of specially-made videos and big-screen projections. Afterwards, you can meet the musicians and try out their instruments.
