Sophie Collins, Momtaza Mehri and Ned Beauman

Hear specially commissioned literary responses to Hayward Gallery’s Lee Bul exhibition by poets Sophie Collins and Momtaza Mehri and novelist Ned Beauman.

The writers respond to the work of acclaimed artist Lee Bul in her first solo exhibition in London. Bul's work explores questions of intimacy, gender, technology and class through a focus on the body. Drawing on sci-fi, bioengineering and visionary architecture, as well as Japanese anime and manga, her work includes performance, drawing, painting and large-scale immersive installations.

Joined by Associate Curator Eimear Martin, the writers read their texts and discuss the process of ekphrasis, or writing creatively in response to visual art.
