Rejoice in the voice at a live performance from Finchley Children’s Music Group and an alumni choir, singing favourites by Britten, Holst and Tippett.
In a concert celebrating the choir’s 60th anniversary, FCMG also premieres three new works written to mark the occasion.
The Group was established in 1958 following the London premiere of Benjamin Britten’s Noye’s Fludde. Based in north London, FCMG is made up of five choirs for young people aged 4 – 18, and has been under the direction of Grace Rossiter since 2001.
In 1963 Britten became FCMG’s president, and his music continues to be at the heart of the choir’s repertoire.
