Louise Marshall

Part of WOW – Women of the World

Hear a free bagpipe performance by Louise Marshall, ‘Scotland’s Most Famous Piper’ (Phillip Schofield).

2017 saw Louise perform on ITV’s This Morning show on Burns Night and St Andrew’s Day, plus the 2017 National Television Awards, where she was introduced as ‘Scotland’s Hottest Bagpiping Property’ by presenter Dermot O'Leary.

Louise was chosen by VisitScotland and Forbes as one of three influential Scottish women, appearing in an article in Forbes magazine on Tartan Day 2017 for ‘Shaking up tradition in Scotland and doing an excellent job at performing a role in business which was more traditionally occupied by men’. Most recently, Louise formed a 35-piece all-female pipe band to open and close Edinburgh’s 2018 Hogmanay Street Party. She has also been the Piper to the Lord Provost of Edinburgh since 2006.
