Decorum by Magic Me

Part of WOW – Women of the World

Experience this live interactive film installation, which invites you to explore the topic of ‘good’ behaviour.

We look at the discomfort and comfort of getting things right or wrong, the negotiation of differing codes, and both the behaviours we inhabit and those placed upon us.

The installation is part of an ongoing Magic Me project involving older and younger women from East London, led by artists Sue Mayo, Pooja Sitpura, and Chuck Blue Lowry, with music by Verity Standen.

The Magic Me group will take over the Community Cube with an interactive film installation and invite visitors to join them in asking the questions: What affects how we behave with one another? What choices do we make on a daily basis?

Drop in to the installation between 11am – 3pm and explore what decorum means for women of the 21st century, with live advice tables and interactions from young and older performers.

Magic Me is the UK’s leading intergenerational arts charity, bringing together people of different ages and culture since 1989.
