Response: Andreas Gursky

Part of London Sinfonietta

Experience the work of Andreas Gursky from a new perspective, with live music by producer, writer and pioneering electronic musician Matthew Herbert.

His latest London Sinfonietta commission more, more, more responds to Gursky’s Untitled XIII, a fascinating and unnerving photograph of a landfill site in Chimalhuacán, Mexico City.

A comment on endless consumerism, more, more, more is made with the contents of rubbish bins on the South Bank, and is a piece for two performers alongside electronic elements.

This first event in a series of Hayward Gallery lates offers a distinctive experience of Gursky’s work, as the music captures the rhythm, colour and complexity of his photographs.

This is a standing event, though some limited seating will be available. Priority will be given to those who need it.
