Songwriter, guitarist and singer Kristin Hersh performs as part of the 25th Meltdown festival, curated by Robert Smith.

The American singer-songwriter is known for her prolific solo music and her work with alternative rock bands Throwing Muses and 50FOOTWAVE.

She has also written an acclaimed memoir based on her teenage diary, about a particularly eventful year, named Rat Girl in the United States and Paradoxical Undressing in the UK.
