Hilary Mantel won the Man Booker Prize twice, first for Wolf Hall in 2009 and again for Bring Up the Bodies in 2012. She is the author of 14 books, including two short story collections, a memoir, Giving Up the Ghost, and various radio dramas. Mantel has won a number of literary prizes. Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies were adapted by the BBC and the Royal Shakespeare Company, after which Mantel was appointed an RSC Governor.
She lives by the sea in the west of England and is currently working on the third novel in her Cromwell trilogy, The Mirror and The Light.
