Due to unforeseen circumstances, Anish Kapoor is no longer able to attend this event. Artists Alicja Kwade and Fred Eversley are joined by Susan Sentler.
Sentler, of LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, comes to Hayward Gallery as choreographer for Josiah McElheny's performance work Interactive Abstract Bodies and brings with her a wealth of experience as a choreographer, teacher, researcher, rehearsal director and performer.
The panel discusses the themes and ideas behind our major new thematic exhibition Space Shifters in an event chaired by Dr Cliff Lauson, Senior Curator, Hayward Gallery.
Space Shifters features more than 20 international artists whose works sit at the intersection of perception, space and architecture.
The show begins with a group of artists in Los Angeles during the 1960s and 1970s who pioneered the use of coloured plastics and resins as materials for sculpture, leading up to the present day with large-scale installations exploring light, surface and reflection that bring about dramatic spatial effects.
