WOW - Women of the World Festival 2019 Thinkins

Part of WOW – Women of the World

Come and help plan the ninth WOW – Women of the World London: a festival for everyone that celebrates women and girls.

The WOW Thinkins are a chance to have your say on what and who you would like to see represented, what ideas can be developed into the programme, what in your opinion are the most relevant topics for women today, and what can we build on from previous WOW London festivals.

WOW – Women of the World is a festival that celebrates women and girls, highlights their achievements and looks at the obstacles they still face across the world.

With talks and debates, music and performance, parties, a marketplace, networking and much more, the festival brings people together to speak about how they are making the world a fairer place and why it matters.

Exploring everything from body image to peacemaking, haircuts, sport, the arts, sex, race, food and love, festival attendees can expect joy, laughter, passion, insight and a chance to share your own stories.

Sessions take place at Southbank Centre and are open to all ages and all genders.

Each session starts with an introduction about what we hope WOW will achieve, followed by planning, discussion and debate. Tea and coffee is provided, and no preparation is required.

We encourage you to bring your friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, brother, child and/or granny and grandpa.

Everyone is welcome, and the more the merrier.

If there are individuals or groups you think should be there, please do let us know at wowthinkin@southbankcentre.co.uk
