Friday Lunch: Dan Walsh

Part of Friday Lunch

Feel the funk at a live set from banjo player extraordinaire Dan Walsh, featuring original grooves with a British, Irish and American folk slant.

With a take on clawhammer style banjo that helps to challenge all preconceptions about the instrument, Walsh combines poignant songs, astonishing musical departures and lively humour.

New album Verging on the Perpendicular is Walsh’s fourth solo album. He also performs with the award-winning Urban Folk Quartet, has played live with Imelda May, Joss Stone and the Levellers, and toured with artists including concertina legend Alistair Anderson, sarangi player Suhail Yusuf Khan and country singer Meaghan Blanchard.
