Sculpting Spaces: Monika Sosnowska & Richard Wilson

Part of Space Shifters

Hear artists Monika Sosnowska and Richard Wilson and architecture specialist Shumi Bose discuss the relationship between contemporary art and architecture.

At this talk, Sosnowska, Wilson and Bose examine the common ground between the two disciplines and ask what art can tell us about the spaces that we inhabit daily.

Sosnowska and Wilson, both featured in our immersive exhibition Space Shifters, are leading international artists who explore how we perceive the built environment. Their practices draw on architectural techniques and motifs to achieve startling perceptual effects.

Shumi Bose is Senior Lecturer in Architecture at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, and Curator of Exhibitions at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

Chaired by Dr Cliff Lauson, Senior Curator, Hayward Gallery.
