Constructing Spaces Opening

Part of London Literature Festival

Hear contemporary responses to Scottish poet WS Graham (1918 – 1986) at the launch of Constructing Spaces, an exhibition on his work in his centenary year.

Poets Denise Riley and Lavinia Singer read new poems written for WS Graham along with some of his own poetry. Hear from poet Rachael Boast and publisher Andy Ching, who are the joint coordinators and centenary advisers to the Graham estate. National Poetry Librarian Chris McCabe and Senior Lecturer at University of East Anglia David Nowell Smith host the event and discuss the process of making Constructing Spaces.

Raise a glass to the undervalued poet, hear about his personal odyssey and view the interactive reconstruction of his creative space at the National Poetry Library’s exhibition on the day of its opening.
