The Orb

Ambient house pioneers The Orb celebrate their 30-year anniversary with a set of greatest hits and new music.

The Orb, aka Alex Paterson and Thomas Fehlmann, released debut single ‘A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain That Rules from the Centre of the Ultraworld’ in October 1989.

Born out of the London club scene and known for their innovative use of samples, The Orb attracted the attention of legendary tastemaker John Peel and went on to release the album Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld, widely recognised as a masterpiece of the genre.

Part of Re-Textured, a festival combining experimental electronic music, brutalist and modernist architecture and innovative lighting installations.
