Evelyn & The Yellow Birds

Part of EFG London Jazz Festival

Travel from the Caribbean to the UK with Evelyn & The Yellow Birds in an interactive musical adventure for the whole family.

The show explores jazz music and its Caribbean influences through Evelyn’s heart-warming tale, with a live band accompaniment, presented by Evelyn’s granddaughter Cherise Adams-Burnett.

Evelyn, a young woman living in Jamaica, decides to travel with her new husband to England, hoping for exciting new opportunities. But she misses the sounds, scenery and sunshine of island life. How can she make London her happy home?

This is a perfect way for the whole family to learn more about the melting pot of influences across the jazz genre.
