Solos, Duos, Ensemble

The London Sinfonietta performs Sir Harrison Birtwistle's Five Lessons in a Frame alongside new music for solo viola by Edward Nesbit.

Part of an evening of solos, duos and ensemble repertoire, Birtwistle’s piece ‘frames’ the duets the composer penned for London Sinfonietta musicians for his 80th birthday concert.

Also, hear a world premiere from cutting-edge Writing the Future composer Edward Nesbit and the highly imaginative ensemble music of Chaya Czernowin.
