Compose a Choir

Learn how to build innovative choral soundscapes with Esmeralda Conde Ruiz and Ben See.

Using a combination of improvisations and group exercises, you learn about new techniques to unlock your vocal creativity and enhance the human voice using technology.

This workshop explores different routes for music-makers and performers to start using their voice in new ways.

Ben See and Esmeralda Conde Ruiz are innovative composers and choir leaders who share a passion for groundbreaking vocal music. Together they create unique site-specific events and performances, exploring new ideas of vocal music, choir ensembles and technology.

This workshop is aimed at anyone, regardless of singing or compositional experience.

There will be a short lunch break during the session.

After the workshop, participants are invited to take part in The Loop Machine Choir, a collaborative and interactive improvisation with loop machines and gadgets in Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer at 2.30pm.
