Composing and Arranging for Mixed-Ability Ensembles

Part of Composers' Collective

Get tips to composing and arranging repertoire for mixed-ability ensembles at a workshop led by Emma Oliver-Trend from Orchestras for All.

Orchestral arranger and conductor Oliver-Trend gives an insight into how to approach inclusive orchestral education. Orchestras for All works with ensembles of young people ranging from absolute beginners to post-grade-8 musicians, encompassing a variety of orchestrations and instrumental combinations.

Composers are invited to bring along manuscript paper and instruments to try out ideas during the workshop.

Presented in association with Orchestras For All.
