The Purcell School: Sounds New

Today’s students at the school pay tribute to the extraordinary life and work of composer Oliver Knussen.

Knussen was a pupil at the Purcell School in its early days. In this concert, students present a programme featuring beautiful short works from the 20th and 21st centuries.

The Purcell School is one of the UK’s leading specialist music schools, and holds the UNESCO Mozart Gold Medal in recognition of its contribution to music, education and international culture.
