Rotary in London Youth Makes Music

Musicians aged 11 to 18 get the chance to shine in a concert put on by London’s Rotary club network.

Rotarians from clubs across the capital make contact with organisations who train young musicians, inviting them to put forward talented candidates to be considered for this concert in Royal Festival Hall.

The evening features both classical and pop soloists, orchestras and choirs of various sizes, Indian and Celtic folk music, a jazz band, a steel band, and culminating in a spectacular performance by 70 Rotary Drummer drawn from many different schools – compèred by television and radio presenter Bill Turnbull.
