Resist: Decolonising Climate Conversations

Learn from those who are fighting to protect the natural world around us at a panel discussion featuring writer and activist Guppi Bola.

It's easy to feel despair at our current climate and ecological crisis, but there is hope to be found. Communities across the UK have been resisting and surviving in the face of environmental adversity for many years.

People who have moved to Britain for love or freedom, or simply from a history of being displaced, can offer us the vision for a climate-just world through the stories of their lived experiences.

Guppi Bola is a writer, organiser, trainer and educator. Her academic background is in public health and she has worked on climate and economic justice issues for over a decade.

She is a co-founder of Working On Our Power, trainer with Decolonising Economics, an organiser with Wretched of the Earth and recently completed a stint as the Interim Director of Medact.
