Out-Spoken Poetry Masterclass: Anthony Anaxagorou

Part of Out-Spoken

When is a poem finished? How do we know what to take out and what to keep? Find out at a poetry workshop with Out-Spoken founder Anthony Anaxagorou.

Out-Spoken Poetry Masterclass is a monthly three-hour weekend workshop which is facilitated by leading UK and US poets.

In this session, Anaxagorou looks at various ways in which we can approach editing a poem without subtracting from its essence. The words we employ and the way in which we organise them are what eventually determines a poem’s success.

The class is open to people of all ages and abilities. Anyone with an interest in poetry can take advantage of the chance to work with established writers while learning some of their methods for crafting beautiful and original poetry.

Out-Spoken, one of London's premier poetry and live music nights, is joining Southbank Centre for a year-long residency of events and workshops.
