Osanle

Part of New Music Biennial

Boys encounter ballet for the first time in a new 15-minute drama with dance by South London-based musician Klein, featuring original music.

What does the iconography of ballet look like through the eyes of three teenage boys?

Consider dance and lineage alongside a cast with no prior experience of ballet or dance performance.

Music is performed by Klein. Osanle is written, directed and composed by Klein, and choreographed by Klein and Bianca Scout.

Costumes are by Tania Daniel, and set design is by Club Couture and Overt Corporation.

Klein’s influences include Nigerian B-movies, Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals, Disney films and the reality TV show Love and Hip-hop: Atlanta.
