Gamelan Intermediate Course - Spring 2020

Part of Gamelan

Take your gamelan-playing skills to the next level with this intermediate course. This ten-week course has a strong community feel and caters for gamelan students with a good grounding in the basics of Javanese gamelan music (a minimum of two years' previous playing experience).

Led by expert tutor Peter Smith, students explore more complex musical forms and structures, and enhance their knowledge of the embellishing instruments and vocal parts within the gamelan ensemble.

A good mix of classical and popular repertoire is covered and a range of regional styles is played.

New intermediate students are welcome every term.
