Chineke! Junior Orchestra

Part of Africa Utopia

Get a front-seat view of the action in an immersive performance where you can sit among the orchestra while they play.

This is your chance to be centre stage and experience the music from the orchestra's point of view.

Chineke! Junior Orchestra, a youth orchestra of black and minority ethnic (BME) musicians aged 11 – 22, is the sister ensemble to the Chineke! Orchestra, who act as mentors, teachers and role models to the young musicians.

By giving young musicians experience and encouragement, Chineke! Junior Orchestra hopes to increase the numbers of BME candidates studying music at third level.
