Bridget Riley: Painting and Perception

Part of Bridget Riley

Take part in a stimulating half-day event devoted to the work of celebrated British artist Bridget Riley.

Join speakers and thinkers including art historian Richard Shiff, science writer Philip Ball and artist Liz West as they respond to Riley’s major retrospective at Hayward Gallery.

Over a series of keynote lectures and panel discussions, the event unpacks Riley’s innovative painting practice and explores the ideas and themes that recur throughout her formidable body of work.

The retrospective – the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of Riley’s work to date – looks closely at the origins of the artist’s perceptual paintings and traces pivotal, decisive moments in her acclaimed career.
