Women for Refugee Women Present: A Day in Our Lives

The Women for Refugee Women Drama Group tell us their experiences in a poetic performance of words and song, introduced by actor Juliet Stevenson.

Opening in the 4am shadows, we are shown what a typical 24-hour day might bring for our refugee and asylum-seeking cast.

History remembers the lives of those who record their lived experiences. These snapshots are often painful but also shine with resilience and hope.

Also performing are Rainbow Sisters, a group of lesbian and bisexual asylum-seeking women. Members come from many of the approximately 70 countries around the world that still criminalise homosexuality.

Olivier Award winner and four-time BAFTA nominee Stevenson also joins the discussion following the performance.
