Belle Chen

Unbound by tradition, the pianist pursues precious moments by combining classical music with improvisation, soundscapes, electronics and perfume.

Handpicked by Brian Eno as one to watch, Belle Chen expands the language of classical music across multiple genres by using sound design techniques.

Her performance marks the release of third studio album Departure, and features light design and visuals to immerse you further into her hypnotic music.

Chen first gained attention in UK's art music scene with her self-released EP Listen, London in 2014, in which she juxtaposed classical repertoire with field recordings taken around London.

Albums Mediterranean Sounds and Mademoiselle followed – each with a distinct artistic vision.

He releases have earned Chen plaudits from industry heavyweights including James Rhodes, Max Reinhardt and BBC Radio 3.
