Kenny Broberg: Chopin & Debussy

Part of Classical Season 2020/21

The American pianist won the Silver Medal at the 2017 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

In 2019, he was awarded the Bronze Medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition.

He has since won major prizes including Hastings, Sydney, Seattle and New Orleans.

He continues to build a reputation for ‘blazing intellect [and] impeccable technical skills’(Theatre Jones).

He has appeared with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic, Minnesota Orchestra and Sydney Symphony. He’s also shared the stage with conductors including Kent Nagano, Leonard Slatkin and Vasily Petrenko.

His solo debut album, released in 2017, features one of his signature pieces, the Barber Piano Sonata, as well as works by Bach, Schubert, Chopin and Franck.
