Bebel Gilberto

This event has been rescheduled as we are currently closed due to the coronavirus crisis: all tickets are valid for the new date.

Sultry beats, electronic bossa nova and organic rhythms: it’s the world renowned and multi-Grammy-nominated Brazilian singer-songwriter.

Bebel Gilberto has been enchanting fans and critics worldwide since her appearance on the global music scene with her solo debut EP release in 1986.

Debut album Tanto Tiempo brought Gilberto’s trademark take on bossa nova to clubs around the world and positioned her as one of the top-selling Brazilian artists in the US since the 1960s.

Her three subsequent studio albums were all nominated for Grammy awards: the acoustic lounge Bebel Gilberto, Momento, fusing all her musical styles, and 2009’s romantic All in One. She followed these up with gorgeous album Tudo, released in 2014.

Support come from Fémina.

Argentine trio Fémina channel themes of gender equality and race, with hip hop and Latin folk major influences. Their breakout 2019 album Perlas & Conchas was produced by Quantic and championed by Iggy Pop.

Presented as part of La Linea – The London Latin Music Festival.

Bebel Gilberto has specialised in a laidback, misty fusion of bossa nova and electronica
