Out-Spoken Masterclass: April

Part of Out-Spoken

Get to grips with feet, wrangle with rhythm and master stanzas at our poetry workshop, with this month’s session facilitated by acclaimed poet Yomi Ṣode.

Open to all ages and abilities, the monthly Out-Spoken Masterclass gives anyone with an interest in poetry a chance to work with lauded writers while learning some of their approaches to crafting beautiful and original poetry.

Nigerian British poet, performer and facilitator Ṣode is one of the winners of the prestigious Jerwood Compton Poetry Fellowship.

Ṣode’s first one man show, Coat, has toured nationally to sold-out audiences. He has read poems at locations including Lagos International Poetry Festival, Afrika Fest, with Speaking Volumes in Finland and at the New York Public Library, and is currently working is his first poetry collection.

Out-Spoken, one of London's premier poetry and live music nights, joins us at Southbank Centre for a year-long residency of events and workshops.
