Smriti Prasadam-Halls & Robert Starling: The Little Island

Part of Imagine Children's Festival

Settle in for a fable for our times about coming together, and the power of friendship, tolerance and cooperation.

Author Smriti Prasadam-Halls and illustrator Robert Starling share their inspiring picture book The Little Island.

Told with humour and warmth, and most importantly, hope, this is a story of building bridges not barriers, respect not resentment and of finding friendship, not fear.

Find out what happens when the geese decide to leave their farm in an event featuring fun readings, games and live illustration.

Smriti Prasadam-Halls is the award-winning author of I Love You Night and Day.

She began writing books in 2012 and is now published in more than 25 languages worldwide.

Robert Starling is both a picture book creator and teacher for primary aged children.

Fergal Is Fuming was his first book, followed by Fergal in a Fix and Super Sloth.

Clear, comic and ending on a hopeful note, it’s a helpful book for discussing Brexit with young children.
