Violet Nights x Food & Lycra: We Move

Part of Violet Nights

Our forum for young people hosts a dynamic conversation around making space for minority groups in wellness with Rachel Tran and Kim Ngo from Food & Lycra (F&L).

The UK fitness scene is hot right now; fancy boutique gyms are opening up and competition for our attention and money is fierce, but if you take a closer look you'll notice they are often socially segregated places.

Discuss why fitness is important, the need for POC to be a part of it and how to balance it in your life with F&L plus guests.

The event ends with F&L’s signature Beats & Fast Feet workout in collaboration with club night Queer Bruk, with a live DJ spinning tracks – all you need to do is move!

Food & Lycra is a food and fitness platform that started six years ago as a place for the founders to share their fitness journey.

F&L creates spaces for women of colour to start working out and breaks the stereotypes of what fitness looks like for women on social media.

Today, F&L wants to get more young women active to see the benefits of fitness and how fun it can be, and to also make them feel confident doing it.
