How to Be a Difficult Woman

Part of WOW – Women of the World

Journalist and author Helen Lewis asks whether well-behaved women ever make history.

What does it mean to be a difficult woman?

In her new book, Lewis argues that feminism's successes are down to complicated, contradictory, imperfect women, who fought each other as well as fighting for equal rights.

Here, Lewis brings together a number of women who have contributed to those successes – come and hear about the fights they’ve fought, the progress they’ve made, and what being ‘difficult’ has meant to them.
