SitarFest: Anupama Bhagwat & Gurdain Rayatt

Part of Classical Season 2020/21

Intricately woven ragas meet inventive improvised tabla to celebrate 100 years of Ravi Shankar.

Anupama Bhagwat plays the sitar with a delicate bending of notes that’s the hallmark of her Imdadkhan gharana (school of musical lineage).

Gurdain Rayatt matches her on percussion.

SitarFest is part of Shankar 100, the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of Ravi Shankar’s birth.

Produced by Darbar.
