Extinction Manifesto

Part of Classical Season 2020/21

The London Sinfonietta and composer Laura Bowler stand with Extinction Rebellion in this setting of their manifesto.

‘Only when it is dark enough can you see the stars, and they are lining up now to write rebellion across the skies.’

As a backdrop to the performance, they display photographs submitted by the public to represent their responses to climate change.

The ensemble are excited to work with Bowler again in this contemporary work mobilised by the most serious issue of our generation.

Arts Desk described Bowler as ‘a triple threat composer-performer-provocatrice’ following a premiere of one of her works at Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival.
