Jakub Hrusa: Dvorak & Tchaikovsky

Part of Classical Season

Jakub Hrusa joins forces with Julian Rachlin and the Philharmonia Orchestra for the dazzling, virtuosic feat of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto.

The concert also features Dvorák's Eighth Symphony. 'Melodies simply pour out of me', wrote Dvorák as he penned his Eighth Symphony, surrounded by the rolling hills of his secluded country home in Vysoká.

Unfortunately Sergey Khachatryan has had to withdrawn from this performance due to visa issues. However the Philharmonia Orchestra are delighted that Julian Rachlin has agreed to perform the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in his place at short notice.
