Blomstedt conducts Beethoven

Herbert Blomstedt returns to the Philharmonia Orchestra to conduct Beethoven's Seventh Symphony – a work full of rhythmic vitality.

Described by Richard Wagner as 'the apotheosis of the dance', its glorious slow movement features in the Oscar-winning film The King's Speech.

Alongside it, hear Brahms' impassioned First Piano Concerto with pianist Martin Helmchen.
