Some of the world's greatest and most exciting orchestras from around the world visit Southbank Centre during the season. Hailing from Australia, Continental Europe and the Middle East, these great ensembles perform in Royal Festival Hall and in the newly refurbished Queen Elizabeth Hall.
Among the line-up this season is Daniel Baremboim and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, who perform two concerts dedicated to the late Jacqueline du Pré, the brilliant English cellist.
Also appearing are Ensemble Intercontemporain, a group of musicians dedicated to performing contemporary classical music; the Australian Chamber Orchestra, with their energetic director Richard Tognetti; and Spira mirabilis, performing Beethoven in an entirely fresh way.
We're also thrilled that Berliner Philharmoniker is calling in for two nights as part of Sir Simon Rattle's farewell tour. It's sure to be an unforgettable occasion. If you've missed out on tickets this time, make sure you're first in line for our next season by becoming a Member.
