Erased Tapes is ten

8 Sep 2017 - 9 Sep 2017

Throughout its 10 years, Erased Tapes has nurtured avant-garde artists from all around the world whilst remaining genre-defying and truly independent. Founded by German-born Robert Raths in 2007, the London-based label has grown and extended across the world with satellite offices in Los Angeles and Berlin.

Erased Tapes has become a meeting point and melting pot for innovative and imaginative musicians who knew there had to be somewhere they could call home. As artist Nils Frahm says, the label is ‘a wonderful place for creating music and I couldn't be happier in this family. And it is a family. There’s a great sense of freedom on this label.’

As part of the takeover, artists from its roster of contemporary classical music composers, take to the Royal Festival Hall stage for a one-off set of shows across the weekend.

Expect performances from Kiasmos, Penguin Cafe, Peter Broderick & friends, Dawn of Midi, Rival Consoles and Lubomyr Melnyk amongst others.

Village Underground hosts the opening party on Wednesday 6 September, with performances from Ben Lukas Boysen, Daniel Brandt, Eternal Something, and Immix Ensemble with Luke Abbot and Vessel.
