With God on Our Side… Religion and War

25 Oct 2017 - 14 Nov 2017
A bold series of thought-provoking talks investigating the historic links between religion and violence, with wars waged under the banner of faith.Come along to our seventh gathering within Belief and Beyond Belief, a festival which explores what it means to be human in the 21st century and features a varied programme of talks and debates on religion, spirituality, belief and the world.

Buying a weekend pass gives you  access to be part of a set of talks, panel discussions and debates throughout the weekend as we investigate the complex relationship between war and religion.

Events include a keynote from Karen Armstrong, author of Fields of Blood: Religion and the History of Violence, Belief and Beyond Belief special edition of Sunday Assembly, the secular congregation that celebrates life; and talks about religion in the modern day
