Heritage & Archive

Southbank Centre boasts a rich heritage that extends all the way back to our roots in the 1951 Festival of Britain celebrations.

Our wide-ranging archive collections and pioneering heritage programmes reveal the stories of over six decades of arts, architecture and cultural history that make Southbank Centre the place it is today. Our Heritage & Archive events, talks and exhibitions help bring these stories to life.

The programme of Heritage & Archive work we present is made possible through collaboration with a range of local, national and international archives, a host of creative practitioners and educators, and the generous financial support of our partners.
