How To Be Good: Gurus, Gods and Guidance

Overview

Tickets & Passes
23 Sep 2017 - 21 Oct 2017
For centuries, religious teachings have given guidance to believers on finding a virtuous path through life. But the modern world has thrown up challenges to these age old moral codes which question their relevance today.

In the absence of commandments carved in stone, or dictated direct from the divine, where will we look to for guidance on life’s burning questions? From abortion to gay marriage, we explore the issues which clash with religious teaching, and hear from believers and non-believers on how they find a sense of morality in the modern world.

Our partner orchestra for Belief and Beyond Belief festival is the London Philharmonic Orchestra. They explore these themes alongside other concerts from the Southbank Centre programme.

Concerts to be announced in January 2017.
