Voicelab is Southbank Centre’s vocal initiative, inviting everyone to explore their voice and participate in festivals, workshops and performances throughout the year.
It gives you the chance to discover the power of your voice through singing, encouraging you to express yourself whatever your age, ability or experience. It’s an opportunity to join together with hundreds of people in song and discover what it means to be a singer.
Voicelab has engaged with thousands of singers both nationally and internationally and continues to grow every year, sharing a vision to empower, unite and inspire everyone through singing.
Help us to be a place where everyone can experience world-class art and culture that can stimulate, educate and inspire. Southbank Centre is an Arts Award Supporter.
Our Voicelab series is currently enjoying a short break as we await the appointment of a new artistic programmer at Southbank Centre to take the series forward.
Once the series restarts, or we have further information, we will publish details on this page.
Throughout the year, Voicelab offers people of all ages and abilities opportunities to join project choirs for one-off shows, as part of our festivals. To be part of a project choir, participants need to fill in an application form and agree to be available for all rehearsal sessions for that specific project.
Applications to join Voicelab's Trojan Story Project Choir are now closed. The choir will perform in the Royal Festival Hall on Thursday 20 September 2018 as part of a special event where Jazz Jamaica All Stars celebrate 50 years of Trojan Records.
